After creating and entering a new project you get a popup to create a new creative.
If you already have creatives in a project, you can add more creatives by clicking the blue“+ Creative” button on the left. This will open the same “new creative” popup window.
Managing your creative files
Once a creative has been set up, the first action is to upload your creative files. You can do this either via drag and drop or via the button and select files.
Ad positions
The new previewer introduces Ad Positions. A way to fill up available ad spaces with actual files, rather than having files hover above the page, allowing for a more accurate representation of how your creative will behave online. However, this will add a small layer of complexity.
The initial question to ask is “How many ad positions are in my creative?” If the answer is more than 1, you’ll have to add additional ad positions. By default, there’s always one ad position in a creative.
If you don’t have any fixed positions, the layers that you upload will attach themselves to a pixel, much like the legacy previewer has always done.
Before uploading all your files, it is important to know exactly what you are uploading. Our older previewer could only handle 1 ad position per flight/creative. The new previewer allows for multiple ad positions to exist in 1 creative. When you upload files, the previewer will automatically check if it can find an ad position related to those files and set itself accordingly.
If you have multiple ad positions you need to create these positions before you upload your files.
You can change the current ad position by pressing the edit icon next to the name of the current ad position.
Here, you can change the width and height of the ad position or delete the position. When you press the “Change width x height” button you will get a popup with available ad positions. You can also select a custom width height. Doing so will let you fill in your own width and height.
To create a new ad position, you can press the + New ad position button next to the edit button.
Pressing this button will create a new pixel position. You can edit this ad position the same way as mentioned before.
