1. Creating an previewpage; | 2. Use the recent preview option; |
After setting up your creative you can preview it on a large number of dummy sites. To preview your creative, press the ‘Preview’ button next to the ‘+Add Clicks’ button.
!Important:
- All ad positions need to be unique, otherwise you can’t render a preview page!
- If you change anything about the ad positions (excluding overwriting the HTML files) you’ll need to remake the previewpage. The option ‘recently previewed’ will not be updated until you select the previewpage from the pop-up again.
1. Creating an previewpage
In the preview screen you can select which ad positions you want to preview and on what site you want to preview your creative.
Here you can find all the preview pages that can handle your creative. Only the pages with the required ad positions are shown.
- The “choose country” dropdown lets you pick the country of the preview pages you want to see. If you pick ‘The Netherlands’, you will only see Dutch preview pages. The same goes for the other countries.
- After that, you can match your creative ad positions to the banner positions on different sites. (For example, a header is not a standard IAB position, so this is usually booked into the leaderboard position). Often the ad positions are the same as the banner positions, but it might differ for some takeovers. If this is the case, it’s mentioned on the specsheet.
- If you toggle ‘enable/disable debug mode’ button, the preview will load with our debug mode on. This is especially useful for checking events or multiple clicks, but not mandatory.
- The page selection list will show all pages that match the selected criteria. Some pages are desktop only, some pages mobile only and some pages work on both desktop and mobile. Your search can also be based on site or publisher. To select a page to preview on, click on the name of the page and the preview will open in a new tab.
2. Use the recent preview option
When a preview is created, you can revisit previously rendered previews by clicking the “recent Previews” button in the overview screen.
Clicking the name of the page will open a new tab with the preview. The number next to this link indicates the total amount of pages that have been rendered with this creative. This also offers you the option to apply some additional settings to each preview:
Delete Preview
This button will remove the page from the list. Please note that if you do this, any links that have been sent out will not work anymore, even if you re-add the same preview page to the same creative. The link of the new page will be different.
Password Protect Preview
You can set a username and password to password protect a preview page. You can also disable it later, as well as decide which ones to protect with a password. Please note that setting the password will not set a password for all rendered pages.
View QR Code
Clicking this button will show a QR code that you can scan with mobile devices to test it on your phone or tablet.
The next step
Finish up the process by notifying your creative.
